View Guest Disk Space
Hi guys,
Just a quick question. Can I monitor guest disk space usage on HyperV with Veeam One v8?
I have found some post about VMWare but I can't seem to find this for HyperV.
I would like to monitor the increase of disk usage of our Exchange environment but I can't seem to figure out how to do this.
thanks for any thoughts you might have on this.

Re: View Guest Disk Space
Hi Remko,
Unfortunately, the information can`t be achieved so far. Hyper-V doesn`t provide the info.
We are thinking how to collect the data and make it disposable in future versions.
Thanks!

That explains why my quest was in vain
Perhaps some sort of option with WMI in future releases?
Thanks for clarifying! Much appreciated.

To collect this data from WMI local account credentials (VM guest OS) will be required. As Nikita said we are in the research phase right now trying to find the most optimal/efficient way to collect guest disk space info. Thanks!

Re: View Guest Disk Space
As soon as this is in place (the administrator can supply the credentials) you have a new customer

Re: View Guest Disk Space
Will this account be different for all users or there will be centralized admin account that you use for every client?

Re: View Guest Disk Space
For us (for customers who have their own servers with own ad separated by vlan) there will be independent account for each customer.
Usually our customers rent 3-4 servers each where they deploy a DC, f.ex SQL, and Citrixservers.

Re: View Guest Disk Space
Thanks! And last one question - do you have any Linux VMs you want to monitor guest disk space for?

Re: View Guest Disk Space
Since this data cannot be retrieved via integration services, then adding support for every flavor of Linux box might not be that straightforward, but we will discuss it. Thanks!
