case 02675149
Hello everybody
I'm writing here because I'm wondering if anyone in the community has a Cisco Hyperflex as primary storage. We have one since about a month and during the backup of large VMs (like Exchange), VeeamOne Reports a large Snapshot size of 1.4TB. We are running Veeam B&R 9.5u3 and vSphere 6.0u3
I made extensive tests today and I am pretty sure that problem is a misinterpretation of vCenter. I don't know exactly why/how, but before and during the backup (incl. alert from VeeamOne about 1400GB Snapshot) the free space was always the same amount, didn't change. I checked this in vCenter and also in the storage management.
Therefore the alert from VeeamOne Monitor in combination with Cisco-HX Storage Snapshot is not true.
Does anyone had the same experience?
Thanks
Joerg

Re: Wrong Snapshot size alert with Cisco Hyperflex HCI
Hello Joerg,
Do you mean "Snapshot size" alarm? You can suppress it for the time of backup job activity and check only if snapshots remain after the backup is done.
