Re: Is it Nutanix AHV supported
Hi Vincent
Nutanix AHV is not supported (as source and target).
We count your request as +1.
If you use Agents to protect your AHV VMs, VRO can be used for restores to vSphere or Azure.
But unfortunately not back to Nutanix AHV.
Best,
Fabian

Re: Is it Nutanix AHV supported
Were aware of the agent method and would prefer direct support like it is with VMware.

Re: Is it Nutanix AHV supported
As a generalized statement regarding Veeam Backup for Nutanix AHV (VB AHV), the limiting factor in functionality support is often due to limitations of the APIs available for third party integration. This is something that Veeam has been actively working with Nutanix to address for years; long before VMware's acquisition by Broadcom.
Because of our partnership with Nutanix, you are seeing the dividends now with the number of new functions added, and with the increased number of VB AHV code updates. For example, their new management platform, Prism Central, includes a number of critical APIs that Veeam uses to support more core infrastructure components such as: multiple proxies on a single cluster, expanded backup job functions and restore options, networking improvements, etc. All of which are specifically because of the the increased API support.
Please don't hesitate to ask your local Veeam account and engineering teams for updates or specifics coming in v6 and beyond!

Please count this as a vote for Nutanix Support. We are in the process of phasing out VMware....
