Orchestrated EC2 restore

Post by claudiofolu »

Hello!
Let say I have a Veeam Backup & Replication Server (VBR) in EC2 , I want to restore the backups from the S3 repository directly into an EC2 instance. Is is possible to do it as an orchestrated option in DRO?

Yes through powershell custom scripts - here is a link to github Veeam Recovery Orchestrator repository with a script I wrote to do exactly this. https://github.com/VeeamHub/veeam-orchestrator

Thank you! I was just reading that v6 include this feature but only for Azure. Is that right?

Correct, Azure can be a restore location in v6. That is built in whereas currently AWS would have to be a custom script added as a custom step like is mentioned in the powershell git hub linked above
