VOA and VMWare Cloud on AWS
HI, we are standing up and SDDC in AWS VMC and need to know what (if any) limitations there are using Veeam Availability Orchestrator to replicate to from our on-prem VCenter to VMC for DR purposes.

Re: VOA and VMWare Cloud on AWS
Hi Tony,
You can use Veeam Backup & Replication to replicate between on-prem and the VMC-AWS environment. Then Veeam Availability Orchestrator (VAO) can manage replica failover & failback.
However VAO cannot perform DR plan testing in the VMC-AWS environment. This is because the permissions model enforced by VMware/Amazon does not permit us to reconfigure the networking to create isolated test networks in a Veeam DataLab. (It's not known if or when they will change this model)
Apart from plan testing, all the functionality of VAO - including DR plan creation, management, reporting, change tracking, custom scripting, application verification etc etc will all work as expected in the VMC-AWS environment.

Thank you Alec. That is what I needed to know. Just so I can answer the question for my leadership, is there any documentation that lists this out?
