VRO 7.1 Login

Post by klwood2001 »

I have a new 2019 server that I am setting up to host VRO 7.1. The server is domain attached. I am using a service account that has been granted logon as a service to the local machine. My domain account is a local admin to the machine. I have made sure that my account is not part of the protected users group. I completed the installation without any errors. I can open VBR and VeeamOne with no issues. When I try to login to VRO with my domain account, I get an error stating it could be credentials related or permissions. I've tried domain\username, user@logindomain and user@FQDN withut any luck. I would think I would have been an issue during the installation. I am unable to login to VRO at all.

Are there any suggestions on what I can do to get logged in or where I can see errors that would show where the issue is?

I appreciate an assistance forum members can offer.

Hi Kevin, we don't know of any such known issue in VRO 7.1. I'm assuming you did add your domain account as an Administrator during VRO Initial Configuration wizard?
I suggest you open a support case and our team will gather relevant info and logfiles so we can get to the root cause. Thanks!

Unfortunately, I am unable to access the initial configuration wizard as I have to be able to login to do so. I'll work on opening a ticket and see what support has to say.

Thank you Alec.

As a follow up, I was able to resolve this with support. They had me uninstall VRO. I also went as far as to remove any installation folders that remained and the SQL database files associated with it. I then logged in as the service account that was going to be used and reinstalled VRO. I was immediately able to login and gran access to my customer's login and mine. Now onto figuring out how to deal with service accounts and DUO.
