Azure VeeaM Recovery Appliance - Move to new Azure Sub

Veeam Logoby andymac » Mon Jan 15, 2018 11:10 am

Hello,

We currently have Azure marketplace VeeaM appliance setup. This is working fine.
The situation we have is as follows;
Azure VeeaM appliance on Azure VM with multiple data disks. Due to this being an Azure Marketplace Item it is stopping us doing some Office365 tenacy consolidation.
We need to remove the appliance from this subscription and add to another. We can move the Azure VM no problem. I just need to ensure that it also removes the Marketplace link to the old subscription and sets up correctly in the new subscription.

Has anyone done this before, or can advise on the necessary steps.

Thanks in advance.

Just to clarify situation a bit - how exactly do you plan to migrate a VM between available subscriptions? Thanks.

Given that the vm is not managed disks. We would normally deleted the vm. Move the OS and data disks to new storage account in new subscription. Then run a json script that re- builds the vm off the OS and re-attaches the data disks.

Should work fine, however, why not to stick to the official VM migration procedure? Thanks.
