Backing up VMs in Azure

Post by yannick.lux » Oct 19, 2018 12:56 pm

Hello,

unfortunately I wasn't really able to find anything concerning the above in the official support documents. From the few sentences I have been able to find from Veeam on this matter it seems as though the only way to do this is to install an Agent (for Windows) on each Virtual Machine, get the Backup sent to my Backup and Replication storage location and then use the "Instant Recovery to Hyper-V VM" feature from within B&R.

Is it really that way? Are there any performance or feature losses to be considered with this way?

Thanks for the help!

Hi, yes this is the correct way to do it using the existing Veeam technologies. There are no performance or feature losses to consider. Thanks!
