Direct Restore to Azure to Resource Model

Post by michaeljipping » Jun 10, 2016 5:08 pm 1 person likes this post

I understand that the software in its current state can only restore to the Classic Service Model and NOT the Resource Model. Our issue is that the Resource Model is where all of our other resources and Networks Exist.

I am requesting that the next revision of this product includes the functionality to restore to the Resource Model as it appears that is the "newer " model where most new applications and resources are deployed.

If I can be of assistance in this task please let me know. The tool set you are offering for this is very powerful and valuable, and deploying to The Resource Model would make it even more so.

Thank you for your time.

Joe we have some pending projects, is there a rough time frame for that release or ability for beta?

I know there is a Microsoft Powershell work around to move the resources from classic to RM but is quite painful to say the least.

We are a heavy Veeam User and would like to assist in whatever fashion possible.

Well the official line is it will be available "when it's ready." :-) I encourage you to go to our v9.5 landing page and register for updates as that's where we'll announce availability of public beta.

Michael, the beta should become available any day now. However, you will need to contact your Veeam sales rep to participate - as our B&R betas are private and driven by sales engineers for their corresponding regions to ensure quality beta experience at scale and streamline R&D communication with beta testers in case of issues. Thanks!
