What about other sources (apart from network share)? Can you transfer data from any other place?

All local drives can be transmitted also CDROM but not a directory ore file from a network share.

FastSCP uses service account name to reach this share. By default our service is running under local system account, so granting access to that share for the computer account where FastSCP is installed should solve the problem. Let us know if that helps.

When I select the file about the UNC path - does the transfer is OK (file upload). When I select the file about tropdown and select the network share and the same file - so don´t work the transfer. The FastSCP service is running of the the domain administrator and installation also.

Can you please post a screenshot with the failed job and send us debug log files from this folder "c:\ProgramData\Veeam\FastSCP\" via dropbox link in a private message?

Was there ever a resolution on this? I am seeing the same behavior on this. The setup is that Veeam FastSCP is installed on the VEEAM server. VEEAM backups to a networked drive on the a Synology DiskStation. FastSCP lets me see the folder I am trying to backup, but then I am told, when the backup runs and fails that "Job Failed: Could not find a part of the path..." It seems to not matter what networked storage I choose, this doesn't work. Is there a fix for this? Thanks!

The usage of UNC path is still required. Thanks.

Using the interface to try to upload a folder, it doesn't give an option for a UNC path. Is there a way around that?

And when trying to do an individual file via UNC I get this:

Code: Select all

Job failed: could not find part of the path \\x.x.x.x\folder\file.name

You can click network in order to discovered shared resources and then proceed to selecting particular folder.
And when trying to do an individual file via UNC I get this:
Can you upload your logs somewhere and provide us with the link so that we can take a look at them? Logs can be found here:

Code: Select all

C:\ProgramData\Veeam\FastSCP for Azure\Logs
Thanks.

So when I choose to do a folder, I do not get the network option. I only Get the local C: drive and the mapped Y: drive

Here is the link to the logs:

There are two ways to make FastSCP work with network mapped drives:

1) Change service account from local system one to the account having required permissions on the given shares (they should be visible for it).

Stop Veeam FastSCP for MS Azure Service, Change the account, Start the service. After this modification, the shares should become visible in source setting of upload jobs.

2) Map Network drive via scheduled task and make the task start under Local System. There are plenty of articles talking about this approach on the web.

Thanks.
