Feedback - Veeam Direct Restore to Microsoft Azure

Post by Jamesdld23 » Jun 30, 2017 1:29 pm 3 people like this post

Hello,

I was really pleased to test this feature and do welcome Veeam for developing this.
Please find below few elements that could give us real benefits (concerning Azure ARM) ... it will be nice to be able to decide the followings =>

Authentication option :
- Use an Azure service principal to access resources, see : https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/ ... -principal

Object naming (to respect our naming convention) :
- Disk name
- vNIC name
- vNIC IP (static option)

Object location :
- Disk location (Storage account > Container)

Object type :
- Disk type : managed disks
- Availability set

Option to decide or not to create objects like :
- NSG (because we already have one at the subnet level and we prevent our VM to be accessible from internet)
- vNIC Public IP

Again ... Thanks :D ,
James Dumont

I want to say thank you, James, for such thorough and detailed feedback, we (at R&D) do appreciate it.

By the way, some of the mentioned features are already on our radar. So, stay tuned. :)
