other firewall to Wireguard vpn VeeamPN server

Post by nifoprom »

Hello,
do you think it would be possible to use veeamPN as a wireguard server on a SITE A and use an opnsense firewall as a site-to-site vpn with wireguard?
Unfortunately veeampm does not allow use on systems with 2 network interfaces.
Thanks

Hello,
and welcome to the forums.

The software is built to connect only VeeamPN with VeeamPN (main purpose is lab to Azure / AWS connection). Please keep in mind that a free VPN software is NOT designed as a general purpose VPN solution.

What about using opnsense at both ends?

Best regards,
Hannes

Thanks for the reply.
There is a hardware firewall on the main office. it would be great to be able to accomplish this.

then I would use IPSEC form the hardware firewall to opnsense. At least every firewall I have seen so far supports IPSEC. And opnsense also supports it according to https://opnsense.org/about/features/

then I would use opnsense on both sides. I see no use-case for VeeamPN at the moment :-)
