Super newbie question

Post by c1ue » Jan 27, 2018 8:08 pm

Hi,
I'm brand new to Azure and FastSCP. I set up a Windows 7 VM on Azure as a test vehicle and want to use FastSCP to move some data on there.

I've gone through all of the Azure VM setup - HTTP enabled, DNS set, etc but I have no idea what the DOMAIN\accountname or HOST\user fields are supposed to be. I've tried all manner of names there and have failed miserably - and the FastSCP logs and documentation are of zero help.

This is particularly frustrating because I tried RD access first - that worked great except for the 33 kb/s speed...

You need to set an account that has local admin privileges on a target Virtual Machine. For better understanding check these articles:

Veeam FastSCP for Microsoft Azure
Using Veeam FastSCP for Microsoft Azure with Azure Resource Manager

Thanks.
