VEEAM Azure Stack restore

Post by ACP Florian Helle » Nov 07, 2019 2:25 pm

Hi!
Im currently backup a Azure Stack VM with VEEAM Agent for Windows Server (Licensed Version).
Backup Respository is VCC Provider.
FLR is working without any issues.

Is there a possibilty to restore the entire virtual Machine to Azure Stack?
Why does VEEAM Agent Backup not support AD Obejct restore? :)

Best regards,

Flo

Hello,
and welcome to the forums.

Yes you can. https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... l?ver=95u4

Not sure what you mean. AD explorer is exactly the same for agents as for VMs

Best regards,
Hannes

Aren't you backing it up in workstation mode? If so, then, the described behaviour is expected - workstation mode does not support application aware image processing options. Thanks!

Im talking about VEEAM Agent without a dedicated Veeam Backup and Replication Server.
Only VEEAM Server Agent is installed with a Cloud Backup Repository as a target.
Is a VEEAM Backup and Replication server neccesary on the customer subscribtion?

Hello,

that's the point. The Veeam Explorers do not work standalone today. They require a VBR installation.

It's a common request from cloud providers to allow standalone explorers, but I cannot tell you when we will have them.

Best regards,
Hannes

Thank you very much.
This would be great if you implement it.
