Veeam Direct Restore for Azure - Classic VNet

Veeam Logoby ACMHoulder » Tue Jul 26, 2016 10:51 am

It seems you can only provision this from the Marketplace into an ARM Virtual Network. We have a Classic virtual network. Is there a way to deploy the appliance to work with that (perhaps Powershell?)

Veeam support suggest it might be possible to do it programatically, but can't help as it's not in scope of their support services. Appreciate any assistance the community can offer.

According to Azure rules, all newly-published 3-party appliances can be provisioned only via Resource Manager model.

In order to have connectivity between classic and RM virtual networks you have to create VNET-to-VNET VPN, as described here.

Thanks.
