Post by asdffdsa6131 » May 28, 2019 4:14 pm

hello,
when I tried to login to the veeam-pn in azure, for the first time, there is that one-time setup.

Code: Select all

collecting subscription ... done
getting account info ... done
creating aad application ...
then I get a pop-up with error.
please advise?
thanks,

Code: Select all

It seems there is currently a known issue with the appliance due to changes by Microsoft. If you do a manual install, it should work fine. If not, as mentioned, feel free to contact support so they can assist you with this issue when there is a fix.

this is getting frustrating.
first, there is no pre-configured hyperv vhdx.
i try to to manual install and it fails

now i cannot have a functioning veeapn in azure using the marketplace.
and now i provision unbuntu 18.04 in azure and do manual install and yet again the manual install failes.

Performing cleanup
./startup.sh: line 306: 9211 Terminated busybox httpd -f -p 80 -u nobody:nogroup (wd: /var/www/veeampn-init)
Job for apache2.service failed because the control process exited with error code.
See "systemctl status apache2.service" and "journalctl -xe" for details.

is this beta software, when will the finished product be released?

please advise and thanks,
david

The Azure marketplace instance is still being updated and is awaiting Microsoft’s approval. This can take some time.

Regarding the error, this is related due tO Apache2 and not VeeamPN. As it states the outcome of systemctl status apache2.service should give more information on what is causing this.

We’ve multiple customers using it on VMware and Hyper-V so it could be the Ubuntu VM you are using is causing this. This is hard to tell without knowing the configuration (filesystem, sizing,...).

Update: the Azure marketplace instance is updated. If you deploy it, you should be able to run it without any issues.

finally, i was able to create a veeampn 2.x vm in azure.

now, please, for the site appliance, upload a pre-configured vm in vhd file format,

Hi ASD,

Please see here - no plans for official VHD as of now.

Thanks
