Hi everybody. I am new in Cloud Connect so be patient please :)
This is my very first try to backup to Azure. I deployed two VMs:
1. Veeam Managed Backup Portal for Service Providers
2. Server2012 as Cloud Gateway
I defined in Backup Portal client account and added deployed Cloud Gateway.
Then I successfully added my Cloud Gateway public IP address as a Service provider at the client side and I can see Azure repository.
Everything looks fine but when I am trying to start backup or copy backup job to Azure repository it end with Error: Your service provider does not accept backups.
I have no idea what is wrong but i am pretty sure it is due to my mistake ... Is here anybody who can advice me?

Hi Matej,

What license key did you set up in your Cloud Connect server in Azure? Can you please go to the backup console and verify that? Does it have Cloud Connect backups allowed?

The said error is generated when a SP license has only replication counter. Meaning, in this license backup counter is equal to zero. So, it is certainly worth double checking (Menu -> License -> Cloud Connect Backup). Thanks.

Hi guys, thanks a lot for your responses. I am using trial license for Veeam Managed Backup Portal . You are right in license information is: Cloud Connect (Backup): 0
I probably did not understand purpose of trial license...i just wanted to try backups from Veeam to Azure for our customers.

In this case, you need to ask for a trial key that allows sending VMs to the cloud repository. VMBP license key does not allow it, as it pursuits a different usage scenario (managing remote backup servers).

Please contact our sales to get a trial key that will enable your scenario directly or via ProPartner Portal.

Hi Vitaly, thanks for your explanation. Where should i add license you mentioned? What is exact description of this license? I tried to find it on ProPartner Portal but I found only Veeam Managed Backup Portal for Service Providers license (i have trial version already).

This is a paid license key and you can get a free trial via Veeam sales rep. Your Veeam sales rep contacts should be in the ProPartner portal (assuming that you're a registered Partner and already had conversations with Veeam reps).

Hi Vitaliy, According your advice I asked sales rep for the license. Then I received some license but question is - how should i use it? As I wrote already - I have in Azure two VMs - The first is deployed SP Veeam Backup Server with Veeam Cloud Connect service provider license and the second is Cloud gateway. As a repository a local disk on Veeam Backup Server is used. Should I deploy another VM with Veeam as a repository with license I received?

You need to install the received license key to Veeam Backup & Replication server acting as your Cloud Connect server.
