There is something I don't undertstand specifically about the deadline.

If I want my security/optional updates to install automatically each sunday, I can say the sunday as day but I don't understand what deadline is for ?

I understand if I'm on manual installation it will force the patch after X days. But when I'm in automatic installation, it will install all update it can found each sunday right ? or it will install only updates that are available since 30 days

Hello,

Correct - with a weekly maintenance window set to Sunday, Veeam Updater installs all updates currently available that match your automatic installation selection (security only, or security plus optional) every Sunday. There is no 30-day age filter.

The deadline is a separate thing for updates that did not get installed on schedule: the countdown starts when the first pending update is detected, and once the configured number of days passes, Veeam Updater installs the pending updates even outside the maintenance window. In practice it matters when the maintenance window is set to None (manual installation) or when scheduled installations keep being missed. Details are on the Configuring Updates page.
