Feature Request: View NFS Share Backup Status Directly on Linux Source Server [Veeam Support - Case # 08191145]

Hello Veeam Team,

We would like to submit a feature request for viewing the backup status of NFS shares directly from the Linux source server, such as an Ubuntu server.

For Veeam Agent for Linux, administrators can use the veeam command to check the status of agent-based backup jobs. However, for NFS shares protected through Veeam Backup & Replication, there does not appear to be an equivalent command or supported method to view the real-time backup status locally on the Linux source server.

We currently use Veeam ONE for centralized reporting and monitoring. However, system administrators also need the ability to check the backup status directly from the Linux/NFS source server.

If this functionality is not currently available, we request that Veeam consider adding it in a future release. Ideally, the solution should allow administrators to run a command directly on the Ubuntu/Redhat source server and retrieve the real-time or latest backup status from the Veeam infrastructure.

Correct, and that's because unlike Veeam Agent for Linux, management of file shares (Unstructured Data) is managed completely by the backup server, there is no installed agent for file shares; only our datamover components necessary to facilitate the backup are deployed.

So regrettably this request will not be possible from your remote linux server except by using our PowerShell cmdlets or invoking calls to our REST API, or using Veeam One for monitoring.
