ZFS filesystem as a destination for backup and source for a full drive restore?

Post by until983 »

Hello,

I want to backup LUKS encrypted operating system drive with a BTRFS filesystem (BTRFS is said to be supported) based on Ubuntu 24 LTS (KDE Neon) with Linux 7.0.0-30-generic (Ubuntu is said to be supported):
Ubuntu 24.04 6.8.0-138 13.1.1.4
Veeam Backup & Replication 13.1.1.18
Uses the blksnap kernel module.
Question is if I can use ZFS filesystem as a destination for my full drive backup and as a source for a restore (using Veeam recovery bootable drive). Or what are exact steps/commands so Veeam supports it / allows me to use it?
Linux (deb) user.
