Veeam and EWS

Post by b.vanhaastrecht » 1 person likes this post

Hi,

We are supporting a handful of M365 backup products, all delivering about the same features. Veeam is the only one who still having that EWS dependency, all other Vendors have moved to Graph and still supporting all features.
Example: https://me.n-able.com/s/article/Microso ... ife-Notice

Why does Veeam still have this EWS dependency and do we need to execute tasks in all tenants to avoid backup issues? Veeam blames MS not having some features in Graph, but competitors don't seem to have this issue.

Please elaborate.

Regards,
Bastiaan

Keepit is too using EWS. I verified this in my test tenants by checking the AppIds associated with EWS.
