Hello,
I just discover something I would like to understand.
My backup policy is :
Backup to S3 repo -> Backup copy to LHR (with VIA)
Backup to tape from S3
Immutability is enabled on both repository.
When I restore data from tape, I need to restore it first to a stage location (AHV limitation). I choose the Linux Hardened repository because I have some space on it.
However, after I validate the data is restored, I would like to remove it from the Linux Hardened repository but I can't. It says the data is immutable.
I would like to understand :
Is it expected ?
what immutability is it about ? It's the one configured on the storage object ?
I mean, each time I want to test the restauration, that means I will have to wait some time before I can remove it from the repository ?

Re: Restore from Tape and immutability on repository
Yes this is expected behavior as the backup from tape written to your LHR will be subject to the immutability period specified for the repository.
