We've been a happy Veeam customer for many years. As the title suggests, we have 2 locations where each location has it's own Veeam server. Site 1 has a backup repository for all backups and both sites pull data from the other for replication. I believe at the time, that was the suggested way to manage this scenario. Veeam has been updated several times and just wanted to check in if this is still the preferred way.
We currently have 2 proxies at each site. Would it make more sense to just have 1 Veeam server that does all the backup and replication or just keep it as is?
Thanks!

Re: 2 sites, 2 Veeam servers. Still relavant?
Hello,
The best practice is to have only one Veeam B&R server at the DR site. However, if you have been using two servers for many years and it works fine for you, you may keep the deployment as it is. To avoid potential issues related to component upgrades, make sure that there are no shared backup infrastructure components, such as proxies, repositories, etc.
Thanks!
