Hi all,
Is there a way of taking a full backup in VEEAM without impact on existing scheduled backup jobs and the chains created?
I've got a number of Forward Incremental backup jobs but we have signed up to Cloud Connect for DRaaS and I need to get full (physical) backups over to the provider so that we can seed the replication.
Appreciate any insights.
Regards,
Simon

Re: Ad hoc Full Backup
Hi,
You can setup a backup copy job so it synthesizes a separate full on another repo or just setup a new backup job and run it once.
Thanks

Re: Ad hoc Full Backup
Thanks for this.
Can a seed be created from the synthesized full backup that I have in my current backup chain? Which files would I need .vbk and .vbm and would this have to be at the point the full backup was created i.e. before any more incremental backups?
Regards,
Simon

Yes, you can use synthetic full .vbk + .vbm as a seed.
Thanks
Correct, you have to use a vaild backup chain.<...>would this have to be at the point the full backup was created i.e. before any more incremental backups?
