Adding existing repository to Scale-Out Backup Repository

Hi all,

A reseller partner asked me an interesting question the other day. If a customer has an existing standard repository with backups on it, can this be added to a scale-out repository while preserving the existing backups? I haven't been able to lab test it myself.

There is an additional related question that occurs to me - assuming that the backup chains are preserved, do I need to make changes to existing jobs that would have specified the standard repository as a target?

Hi Neil, this is absolutely possible and Veeam B&R will suggest you to automatically re-point existing jobs so that they could continue to run normally. Thanks.
