Adding Storage to Veeam B&R Console
Hey guys,
we got a new storage system (Nimble-All-Flash) and I integrated this in our B&R Console to do Backups via SAN-Snaps.
Thats works fine.
After the adding the storage, veeam rescan if there any volumes are visible, but shows us an error.
"the remote certificate is invalid according to the validation procedure"
That are the informations from the log:

Do you have any ideas, to solve the problem?
Thanks!

I had this multiple times with different storages. Check timezone, time and date of the storage and Veeam Server (inclduing Proxies)

Re: Adding Storage to Veeam B&R Console
You didn't upgrade ESXi \ vCenter hosts alongside bringing new storage, did you?
It is worth quickly passing through vCenter properties(Backup Infrastructure >> Managed servers >> VMware vSphere >> vCenter Servers >> select the vCenter/ESXi >> right-click >> Properties) with Next-Next-Next-Finish style to accept new\changed certificate if that is the case.
Edit: logs say "Thumbprint mismatch" for Nimble storage in question, so we have cached thumbprint when you added storage and we can see different thumbprint on Rescan. Please go through Add Nimble wizard again(Next-Next style) to refresh it's certificate too.
/Cheers!

Re: Adding Storage to Veeam B&R Console
It was my mistake.. I add the storage-system only with the IP-Adress, not with the name. It is not possible to compare the certificate with a IP adress..
After creating DNS-Entry and adding the storage with the name, I got the "right" certificateerror messages and it works!
Thanks guys!
