We have a BIG problem.
Yesterday we updated our vCenter to 6.0update2 and veeam B&R to 9.0 update 1
After this no backup will work, even newly defined one.
The error message is The keyset is not defined. Failed to cretae Cryptographic Service Provider. --tr:Error Code: 0x80090019
Another strange error is that testing credentials for application aware backup always fails with error
2016-07-20 09:28:07 :: Connecting to guest OS via VIX Error: Cannot upload file to admin share [C:\Windows].
Cannot create folder in guest: [C:\Windows\VeeamGuestHelpersTest].
VIX Error: You do not have access rights to this file Code: 13
Somehow It seems like an encryption problem
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advane

Re: After update to 9.0 update 1 all backup fails
We have opened a Case # 01857236.
We have a workaround, that is changing all backup jobs to use the local machine administrator for each VM we have been able to run backups.
It is not something I would like to have as a permanent solution. Before the upgrade, most of our backup jobs used the same domain account.
Also, I would like to understand what happened and why. Microsoft is fiddling with his crystallographic algorithms to remove older ciphers and I fear problems coming from that direction.

Re: After update to 9.0 update 1 all backup fails
I had the same issue and resolved the same way. I had services:
Veeam Backup Service
Veeam Cloud Connect Service
Veeam Guest Catalog Service
Veeam Mount Service
all authenticating with our domain admin account. I changed all of these to run off the local system account and everything worked.
