I mistakenly upgraded from 20.04 to 22.04 as it is supported by Veeam, but didn't realize at the time that the STIG does not apply and there is not ETA.
Has anyone applied the 20.04 STIG successfully?
Is it worth reinstalling 20.04 (and hopefully keep my xfs repo) and then doing the STIG?
Thanks for the input.

Re: Anyone having success with 22.04 and 20.04 STIG?
Hello M.S.
STIG is currently not available for Ubuntu 22.04.
If you need to be compliance with the STIG policy, you need to go back to Ubuntu 20.04.
We support reinstalling Ubuntu and then reconnect to the existing XFS repository. You need to add the new Ubuntu server as a new hardened repository, run a rescan to import the backups and then map the existing jobs to the imported backup files.
I recommend a short test if you can map a XFS filesystem from Ubuntu 22.04 to Ubuntu 20.04 with write and read capability. I don't think it's an issue, but you never know if there is an incompatibility with going back to an older file system (as for reFS driver).
Best,
Fabian

Re: Anyone having success with 22.04 and 20.04 STIG?
I ended up reloading 20.04 and remounting the repo disk. In the end, it all worked. I'm not a Linux guy and I had to work through some (scary) moments of thinking I lost everything.
I didn't even have to import the backups, I just:
Go to Backup Infrastructure, Managed Servers, Linux
Right click on the repo (same name as before) and go to Properties
Add new single-use SSH credentials ad proceed to install the missing Veeam components
Bam, it "updated" and my jobs continued just as before.
