AppAware fails with Code 87

Hello all,

I have a problem with processing VMs with AppAware.
I get following error Message: 13.09.2021 19:07:06 :: Failed to prepare guest for hot backup. Details: Failed to connect to guest agent. Errors:
"Cannot connect to the admin share. Host: [windows-server]. Account: [.\administrator].
Win32 error:Wrong Parameter.
Code: 87
Cannot connect to the admin share. Host: [192.168.100.141]. Account: [.\administrator].
Win32 error:Wrong Parameter.
Code: 87"

And that is with all Windows machines except one.
The Firewall is completly disabled and I am using the local administrator.

Did someone already get that problem? I can't seem to find a solution online.

Hi Louis,

Please always provide a support case ID as requested when you create a new topic for a technical issue, otherwise the topic will be eventually deleted by moderator. In the meantime, I'd suggest to try "hostname\administrator" or "domain\administrator" instead of ".\administrator" format for the credentials being used for guest processing.
