I need some clarification about the differences (if any) between Appliance Mode and Hotadd.
I am planning to create a proxy as a VM hosted by an ESXi host with iSCSI access to the datastores where the VMs to be processed reside: is this Appliance Mode or should I configure anything else?
After creating the proxy I will select Appliance mode to access disks: is this Hotadd or should I do anything else?
Can hotadd cause proformance issues to the VM being processed?
Regards
Marius

Re: Appliance Mode and Hotadd
Appliance mode is indeed hotadd. There should no impact on the VM being processed from the hotadd.
