Servus Community,
we are currently discussing the need for Application Aware Processing on a Linux VM. Opinions tend to say that it is not necessary on Linux, but now I found a How To on Veeam that does describe how to use the AAP for MySQL on Linux [1]. Unfortunately I can only follow the instructions up to the point where I have to switch to the MySQL tab. I do not have this tab, only Oracle and PostgresSQL are listed there as database applications. MySQL is used by almost every Linux OS. What is best practice here and what problems are to be expected when backing up Linux without AAP?

Thx in advance & Bye Tom

Re: Application Aware Processing Linux OS
Hello,
that tab is only available if you use the Veeam Agent for Linux.
For agentless backup, I refer to several existing threads
Best regards,
