In vCenter we are using Single SignOn Services for multiple Active Directories and Novell LDAP authentication, i'm also looking for a method to authenticate novell accounts against our main AD.
That's not a "genuine veeam topic", but I'm somewhat confused by my internet searches and I can't clearly find a tool doing this job. Perhaps someone has realized such a scenario or could simply give me a tip what identity management could we use in he Microsoft infrastructure?
Thank You in advance!
Stefan

Re: authenticating novell accounts in veeam one & b&r
Hi Stefan,
years ago I worked at a novell reseller where AD<->eDir authentication/syncronisation was needed by a customer.
We used NetIQ Identity Manager a.f.k.a. Novell IDM where you can sync your AD with your eDir accounts.
Years ago there was a free version of IDM when you used Zenworks 4 oder 7. If you have ZENworks maybe
you have a license and doesn't know about this.

Maybe the new DSfW of Novell could be a solution for you? I've never worked with it,
but take a look in their documentation.

Re: authenticating novell accounts in veeam one & b&r
With DSfW you can setup an AD 2003 enviroment in your eDir world.
If you want the workstations to use Novell file resources without having an Novell NCP client, you could just add CIFS to your existing Novell servers. You will miss the dlu but that could be provided by ZCM (also Novell)

Thank You for Your suggestions. DSfW seems to be the smart solution.
I will try that and give You feed back.
Thanks again!
