Hi Group,
If an organization wants to change their SQL server to enable TDE encryption, how does that effect Veeam backups and restores of the databases?
Currently, the organization backs up two different ways.
1.) They do a typical veeam backup of the entire server on a daily basis utilizing reverse incremental
2.) They do a database dump to a flat .BAK file each night to another server
Occasionally, a restore of a database flat file is asked for so it can be imported to the original or possibly another sql server.
Thanks for your insights.

Re: Backing up MSSQL with TDE
Hey Tom,
They can still continue to do so. There are some considerations/ requirements you need to keep in mind when using TDE encryption. They are described in this article: https://www.veeam.com/kb2006
Hope it helps
Mike
