Hello All,
I have a backup archive that is full due to storing to many full backups.
I have changed the backup copy job to reduce the number of full backups but the job still won't due to the lack of storage.
How can I safely delete some of the full backups without losing the backup chain?
System info:
Veeam 8.0
Backup Repository = CIFS on a NAS

Re: Backup Archive full
Are you talking about GFS retention points? If so, you can either decrease a number of GFS points that should be stored or delete unnecessary points manually. Thanks.

Re: Backup Archive full
Yes, I am talking about GFS retention. I had setup the server to retain 7 backups, which I now see are FULL backups. This filled up the storage. I already changed the full storage to 2, but now need to delete the five oldest backups.
From what the other post says it is okay to manually delete these backups via Explorer.
Please confirm.

GFS restore points can be safely deleted manually.
