Backup CDP replicas

I know this may be a niche request but would it be possible to backup CDP replicas as any other VM?

Unfortunately no. They have an interesting format with much data sitting in transaction log files, as opposed to VMDKs which is what is normally being backed up.

But if you're looking for additional protection for source VMs, you can add these VMs (protected by CDP policies) to backup jobs - this will be totally supported scenario. Thanks!
