Hello,
We are testing Backup Copy to a Cloud provider as a secondary off-site Backup option. When I set this up, the first Backup Copy (full) job, is taking a very long time. As my regular Full Backup jobs are done on-site to my Backup Server, would it be possible to set up my Cloud Backups as Incremental Only? I'm currently at over three hours, and this job is only 8% done. Or will every incremental job after this be much shorter if no data has changed going forward?

Re: Backup Copy Job Incremental
Hi Patrick,
No, you can't instruct Veeam to produce only incremental files with associated full on the local storage. The backup chain always starts with the full backup file that stores copies of full VM images.
Every incremental run should be significantly faster as it contains only changed data, like you said.
Another option you can use is Backup Copy Jobs Mapping, if you can physically deliver the backup files to the Cloud Provider. Thanks!
