We currently are using Veeam Backup and Replication to make both a local Backup Job to our Repository, and a Backup Copy Job which goes to our Cloud Provider. From my understaning, the Backup Copy Job runs on a continuous 24 hour cycle.
One of my VM's will soon be running a database that we are migrating over from an old physical server. When we ran Tape Backups through Symantec Backup Exec on the old Server, the database would be interrupted while that Backup was running. My concern is, will we run into this same issue since the Backup Copy Job runs for 24 hours? Or is there a way to just copy our local Backup to the cloud once per day? Thanks in advance for any input.

Re: Backup Copy Job
Hi,
The backup copy job is looking for a new restore point during 24 hours period (if the interval set to 1 day) but delivers only once per day. Thanks!

Re: Backup Copy Job
So it's really only doing the actual backup once a day then?

Re: Backup Copy Job
Yes, but only if the interval is 24 hours.
If the backup job backups more than once per day those RPs will be ignored by BCJ. Thanks!
