Re: Backup Job Configurations
Hi Peter and welcome to the community!
The settings above are correct.
Can you clarify what the goal, also share the interval for the backup copy job and the retention policy of the source job.
I've fixed the image links. Thanks!

Re: Backup Job Configurations
Hi Peter,
The setting look good, the only thing I'd recommend is to review the existing thread regarding using deduplication storage as primary target. Thanks!

Re: Backup Job Configurations
Hi DGrinev
Thanks for still feedback to my case.
Both of the existing Backup Job and Backup Copy using deduplicationg type Repo and store to the same storage.
At the moment the we have 2 Datacenter. The ESXi host at Production DC and the StoreOnce at DR DC. For best solution, I will be propose using below method.
1. Purchased new StoreOnce then configure replication between StoreOnce_01 to StoreOnce_02 (New)
2. Purchased new StoreOnce then configure backup repo as below:-
Backup Job 1 (Daily) ---> Store the repo inside StoreOnce_01
Backup Copy (Archived) ---> Store the repo inside StoreOnce_01
As I'm new to Veeam, hope my plan look good and easy to understand both of us and customer.
Any comments please drop.

Re: Backup Job Configurations
Hey,
The described scenario should work, but keep in mind you should create 2 separate ObjectStores on the StoreOnce_01 and create 2 repositories, since you cannot use the same repository as source and target for the backup copy job. Thanks!

Hi DGrinev
Yes, I created separate different ObjectStores and Repo. That mean one backup job refer to one Repor and store at One ObjectStore.
Thanks a lot for you guide and support. It's more clear now.

Re: Backup Job Configurations
Hi DGrinev
I still need you support regarding my Backup Job. This is regarding the backup settings. Currently I set as below.
Incremental (recommended)
[untick] create synthetic full backups periodically
Active full backup
[Tick] Create active full backups periodically
Weekly on selected days:
Saturday
Question:
It's correct settings or should I "Tick" on create synthetic full backups periodically and set to Saturday too?
Please advise, other member comments are welcome too
Thanks.

Re: Backup Job Configurations
Nope, you should choose one option which determines how your full backups will be created.
Please review articles in the User guide for additional information: Active Full or Synthetic Full. Thanks!

Re: Backup Job Configurations
You can actually have both of them, it just doesn't make sense to have them scheduled similarly. For example, a good practice is to have weekly synthetic fulls and an active full once a month or something like that.
