Backup job is failed. VM is unavailable and will be skipped from processing

Hello,

I'm trying to backup VM on ESXi hosts in the cluster and managed by vCenter. Unfortunately everytime the VM moves to different host automatically, it broke the Veeam backup job.

Is there anyway to setup Veeam backup job that support VM moving to different ESXi hosts within same cluster?

The Veeam backup version is 12.1.1.56 Enterprise Plus Edition.

My case ID is Case # 07137074 - Backup job was failed

Hi Albert

Sounds to me like you have added each ESXi host as a standalone instead of your vCenter to the Veeam backup console.

If you add vCenter, then VMs can be moved between hosts and the job doesn‘t have to be updated.
