Backup Nutanix File Services

Hello,

We want to Backup Nutanix AFS with Veeam. Nutanix is running with ESXi 6.0 U2.
While picking the AFS VMs works like a charm, getting the SMB Data provided by the File Services is somewhat slow.
AFS has the data in question placed in the Block Services (aka iSCSI) portion which is not included in the AFS VM.
We havent tested to install Veeam Linux Agent as of now.

Nutanix support has mentioned that Veeam 10 may work in this scenario: "If you are interested to implement an external backup solution like Veeam, with version 10 you can, you can try the agent based backup for now with attaching the shares to a windows box though. haven't tested. I have seen it working on some customers and unfortunately we don't guarantee any performance.

Is there more inforamtion on Version 10 around?
I could not find anything other reference than from Nutanix Support.

Hi Steffen, yes v10 will be able to backup any file shares, no matter of the storage behind. What other information are you looking for? Thanks!
