Backup repository full backup object copy

Post by Moose »

Current support case# 05815496

We have a Windows 2008r2 file server that was recently decommissioned and removed from our VMware environment. We utilize HP Storeonces for our backup and backup copy repositories with a retention period of 90 days.

We are wondering if we could copy the most current full backup of the file server from one of the repositories to another repository (which has a different retention period); because
I do see the option to copy the object, and I wasn't sure if this would update the Veeam database as a possible restore point?

Thanks

Hi Pete

Our Export feature can export backups (full or incremental) as a standalone restore point. You can choose a date when the restore point can be removed. But V11 won't allow you to choose an export location (possible in our next release V12). You can export it to the same StoreOnce but with another retention period.
