Hey guys,
I've very interested to tag our VMs, that we create an automaticly backup. It seems that the backupinfrastructure through tags are less complex
But I have no idea, how I name it?
We have 25-30 Jobs and runs our backup every 24 Hours against the most of VMs. The jobs have different settings, (not) application aware , with(out) indexing, different restorepoints, etc...
How do you do in your infrastructure? May you post you tags as a example?
Thanks!

Re: Backup via Tags
Hi Martin!
Check out Veeam One Business Tagging - it can give you a good start with vSphere Tags journey with Veeam. Also note that Veeam One can automatically tag vSphere VMs for you according to the rules you set, so whole chain(New VM - Tag Allocation - Backup based on tags) could be 100% automated!
In one of our labs we use RPO tags - that way we can guarantee backups are done based on VM resource pool location within a cluster. We have "RPO 4 hours", "RPO 12 hours", "RPO 24 hours" as example.
/Cheers!
