Backups failing where guest processing used since vCenter migrated to VCSA

Post by stewsie »

Hi

Yesterday I migrated vCenter from a Windows installation to the VCSA 6.7

Overnight any backups using AAIP failed or partially worked. When I run the test it tells me the network path was not found. I am checking with the network team that no changes have been made but it is too much of a coincidence that vCenter was migrated yesterday

I have opened a support call and an engineer has responded telling me he can see failures with the backup account, not the one used for AAIP. Has anything changed with the permission requirements in vCenter 6.7 as the document the engineer sent is quite basic and seems to suggest the backup account needs administrator permissions. Previously there was document that listed the granular permissions that could be configured in the role used for backups

Veeam support job is 03957831

Thanks
