Backups of same ressource at same time

Hi Guys,

I would like to ask, if it would be a problem, if the same VMs got backed up at the same time. Our target is a DataDomain and because of that, we're working with multiple mTrees because we wanna use more than 60 restore points. To archive this, we backup to 2 mTrees with 2 sets of jobs.


To outline this:

Monday: backup to target veeam_1
Tuesday: backup to target veeam_2
Wednesday: backup to target veeam_1
Thursday: backup to target veeam_2

and so on.

On Saturday and Sunday we have another set of jobs, which will create active fulls for all VMs. We spreaded the VMs (in ressource pools) as good as possible to control the load / backup time, but we still have one job minimum that will need ~20 hours for a full.

The Question is now: If 2 jobs would backup the same ressource (Pool, VM, etc.) at the same time or if the backups will overlap slightly are there any known issues or is this even supported?

Supported, no issues with such scenario. The second job to backup the same VM will just wait for VM's availability. Thanks.
