Hi All,
I have two sites with a 1Gbps point to point between them. Both sides run a separate Vmware clusters and one of the sites have another device for my backups.
Site A:
Vmware Cluster 1
Site B:
Vmware Cluster 2
Backup Storage
My goal is to replicate site A to site B and then backup site B directly to my Backup storage so I'm not pulling incrementals over the P2P.
I have tried to use both Veeam & Vmware replication and then tried to backup the replica but both fail as you can't snapshot the replicas. Has anyone got any good ideas on the best way to do this?

Re: Best Option For Site To Site Replication And Backup
one idea could be to do it the other way around.
backup both sides to the target (also Cluster 1) and then run a "Replica from Backup" for Cluster1 to Cluster2 ->https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... ml?ver=110
With that you will also have a replica you can spin up and you also send the data only once over the line.
If you run the backup 2 or 3 times a day you should not see too much of a difference.
Not 100% what you ask but an idea.
