I've got a ton of old backup files (vib and VBK) that go back a long time, that I no long need. What is the safest way to delete them from storage? This is all stored on a CIFS share on a NAS, and they're Incremental backups with synthetic fulls.
I feel like I should be able to just go in there (the NAS) and delete the old stuff, but I also don't want to risk jacking up something in Veeam itself, like the db.
Thanks in advance!

Re: Best way to delete old jobs
Hi polaris20,
In our database there are some entries which VM is backed up with what job and to what backup file.
If you delete a Backup and replication job and delete the backup files manualy everithing is ok. If you maybe try to use a one click file restore and you select a restore from a non existing backup file, the job says that this file no longer exists.
So there are no database problems, when you delete backup files manually from deleted jobs.

Re: Best way to delete old jobs
The best way would to use "Delete from disk" option on the corresponding entry for the backup/replication job files. Thanks!
