Hello....
I have an emc cabinet ( VNX2 ) and would like to use replica functionality from the snapshot storage....
The cabin is connected by fiber to the hosts.
The veeam server backup is virtualized.
According to the documentation of veeam backup, the access method of veeam proxy has to be direct method, and by iscsi through the microsoft initializer ....
If the cabinet is accessed by fiber, how do I configure iscsi access?
Thanks

Re: cabinet EMC and veeam
Hello! You don't configure iSCSI access for a fiber SAN - you needs a backup proxy server with FC HBA instead. Thanks!

Re: cabinet EMC and veeam
hello .---.
The cabin has possibility of connection iscsi also ...
If active such connectivity, and configure the veeam backup in this way, ( with iscsi initializator...etc.etc) will not slow down the entire replication process?, Because then the copy will be through lan instead of being made by fiber ....???

Re: cabinet EMC and veeam
Most likely yes, unless you have 10Gb Ethernet fabric you could route iSCSI traffic through.
