Can a v6.5 Enterprise Manager talk to a v7 B&R Server?

We have a 6.5 environment with EM and 2 B&R instances in DR and PROD.

Can we update DR to v7 B&R and still have the EM connect to it and collect data from it while still at 6.5 in PROD?

H, David. Nope, it’s not possible. However, reversed scenario should work – EM 7.0 is able to communicate and collect data from 6.5 VB&R installations. Thanks.

Would I need to disconnect the DR B&R from enterprise manager then before upgrading? Unfortunately I cannot upgrade EM first since it resides in production with 6.5 B&R.

Actually, you should disconnect this server permanently from Enterprise Manager console; at least, till the time when EM is uprgraded, as well. Because once updated DR VB&R server won’t be monitored any longer by the obsolete version of Enterprise Manager. Thanks.
