Hello,
I would like to know whether it is possible to use the preferred network between ESXi and backup proxy servers.
I need to back up VMs on ESX(i) by the network mode because I use the hardened repository for the immutable backup.
However I don't want to transfer backup data over ESX(i) management interface even though this is 10Gbps.
ESX(i) hosts have IP address in the backup interface, and backup proxy servers also have IP address in the backup interface.

Hi,
Thank you for your reply.
I am really relieved to hear that.
By the way, is the name resolution by hosts file necessary between IP address in the backup interface on ESX(i) and it on Backup Proxy?
