CBT Not Disabled

Post by s65s65 »

Hi everyone
I recently see a problem when update vcenter and VBR to latest version and latest Patch. (Currently vcenter 's version is 7.0.2b and VBR version is 11.0.0.837 P20210525)
I see an error on my vcenter when I want to add Multi writer disk on vm(s), this error is displayed in vcenter :
" The operation is not supported on the object. CBT-enabled VM having multi-witer disk(s) is not supported "
I didn't have this problem in previous version.

It seems more like a VMware issue rather than Veeam one. Based on the provided error, you simply cannot add multi writer disks for VMs that have CBT enabled. But to confirm this assumption kindly reach VMware support team. Thanks!

Agree, does not look like this has nothing to deal with Veeam or its versions. VMware Support should be able to advice you on the current system requirements for using multi-writer disks on VMs, perhaps they changed something recently, if you say that you could do this operation previously on VMs with CBT enabled. Thanks!
